About The Position

We are seeking either a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join our evening shift! This full-time position (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Monday - Friday with Saturday rotation) is responsible for processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and labeling of surgical specimens. The role also involves performing high complexity testing and special staining as assigned under the direction of appropriate personnel, and preparing reagents and dilutions for special stains and performs special stains, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence stains.

Requirements

• Option 1 Histotechnologist (HTL): Bachelors' of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program. Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP.
• Option 2 Histotech (HT): High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program. Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP.

Nice To Haves

• Previous histology experience desired.
