About The Position
Methodist Hospital is hiring a Histotechnician to join its team. The position receives and accessions specimens and performs histology laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory protocol. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Requirements
- Associate degree and graduation from a school of Histotechnology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification through the American Society of Clinical Pathology or National Certification Agency; certification must be attained within 18 months of hire.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform work requiring manual dexterity.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Receive specimens.
- Accession specimens.
- Perform histology laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory protocol.
