About The Position
Methodist Hospital is hiring a Histotechnician to receive and accession specimens and perform histology laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory protocol. The position supports patient care and the experience of patients and their families. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Requirements
- Associate degree and graduation from a school of Histotechnology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology or the National Certification Agency; certification must be attained within 18 months of hire.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform work requiring manual dexterity.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
