About The Position

Enid Public Schools (EPS) is seeking a History Teacher for Enid High School. EPS serves over 8,000 students in a supportive community of 50,000. The district has been recognized as a National District of Distinction for its community partnerships. Recent investments in infrastructure include $99 million in renovations and construction, with an additional $93 million approved for more classrooms, safer entrances, improved technology, and enhanced athletic and fine arts facilities. EPS is committed to innovative learning and technology integration, providing students with iPads, Chromebooks, and SMART Boards, including 1:1 devices for all students. The district also features a University Center on the Enid High campus, offering extensive college dual credit and Advanced Placement courses, potentially saving students significant college expenses. AP enrollment has quadrupled recently. Early childhood education is supported through full-day Pre-K classes, an intergenerational program, and a dedicated early childhood center funded by local donations and grants. The district values its highly effective teaching staff and support team, fostering professional development through Professional Learning Communities. A strong public school foundation is augmented by a significant number of volunteers and over $6.5 million in private funds donated for special projects in the last six years. EPS is currently in the third year of a dynamic three-year strategic plan.

Requirements
