About The Position

Educators for Quality Alternatives (EQA) serves students who have dropped out, been expelled from, or have struggled academically or behaviorally in traditional settings and are looking for an accelerated path to graduation. EQA has three high school campuses: The NET: Central City (opened 2011), The NET: Gentilly (opened 2017), and New Orleans Accelerated High School (NOAH) (opened 2020). Students at these high schools earn a diploma and participate in internships, career counseling, and training in fields like construction, medical, and digital media. EQA also operates The Bridge Middle School, a therapeutic program for struggling 7th and 8th graders. The overarching goal is to equip students with the skills, confidence, and experience needed for their chosen career and education paths. EQA believes teachers thrive when their students do, offering teachers autonomy to make decisions best suited for their students. Teachers at EQA often become agents of change, working collaboratively within a close-knit team to support students and help them reach their greatest potential.
