About The Position

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District seeks a qualified .50 FTE History Teacher commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year to teach a 9th Grade Modern World History class and a 10th Grade Modern America History class. The role involves planning lessons, creating an inclusive classroom environment, providing feedback to students, communicating with parents, pursuing professional growth, and cooperating with other staff. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
Licensed, or eligible for licensure in the appropriate field by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
3 + years educational teaching environment
High School teaching experience

Responsibilities

Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
Fulfill other duties as assigned
