History, Full-Time Lecturer, Faculty
About The Position
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is seeking candidates committed to innovative teaching and meaningful service for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position at the rank of lecturer in the Department of History. This is a one-year temporary appointment that may be renewed annually based on funding, need, and performance. The successful candidate will specialize in American History or Tennessee History and will be expected to teach U.S. and Tennessee history surveys. Excellence in teaching is a key expectation.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in history or a closely related field by the appointment date.
- Specialization in American History or Tennessee History.
- Prepared to teach U.S. and Tennessee history surveys.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility for U.S. employment.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
