About The Position

Using established educational methods, presents interpretation in non-historical clothing, depicting the culture, events, and concerns of 17th and 18th century Powhatan Indians, mariners, Virginia colonists, and citizens.

  • Strong and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to learn and utilize recognized teaching methods
  • Ability to read, assimilate and utilize curatorial approved information

Nice To Haves

  • A background in history, education, communication, or museum studies can be beneficial for this role.
  • Prior experience working in a living history, formal or informal education setting helpful
