About The Position
The Histopathology Technician receives and prepares tissue specimens for processing and review. This role involves performing histological procedures, including processing, embedding, cutting, and staining. The technician is responsible for maintaining accurate records of tissues and slides, cleaning and upkeep of equipment and work areas, and adhering to laboratory safety policies.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Biology or Laboratory Science.
- Graduation from an accredited histotechnology program.
- ASCP certification as a Histology Technician (HT).
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience as Histology Technician.
