About The Position
The purpose of this job is to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination and perform special stain procedures.
Requirements
- Junior college or technical school education is required: an associate degree or 60 semester hours at an accredited institution.
- Must be ASCP registered or eligible, with successful completion of the registry exam within one year of employment, or be reassigned.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of position-related experience is required.
- Demonstrated computer skills in a Windows-based environment are required.
Nice To Haves
- 2 to 5 years of position-related experience is preferred.
