Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Laboratory Science and Histology routine training or Completed accredited Histology Technology program.
• HT/HTL Certificate (ASCP), equivalent or eligible.
• 1 year experience in Histology Laboratory preferred

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform manual embedding and microtomy of paraffin embedded tissue blocks.

Responsibilities

• Processing tissues using Xpress microwave rapid tissue processor
• Embedding: Manual and Automated using Sakura Auto TEK embedder
• Microtomy of paraffin embedded tissue blocks both manual and auto embedded
• Recuts of tissue blocks
• Special Stains
• IF cryotomy of skin specimens
