About The Position
Performs all routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens, including frozen sections and special stains.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a program qualified for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Medical Lab Technology.
- Meets education/experience requirements under New York State Education Department grandparenting clause for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Clinical Laboratory Technician.
- Licensed by New York State Education Department as a Certified Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician, required.
- Must have a valid permit and become licensed to practice as a Certified Histological Technician within one (1) year of employment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, required.
Responsibilities
