About The Position
Devereux California is hosting a hiring event for Full-Time and Part-Time positions. They are seeking dedicated, energetic professionals passionate about empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event offers opportunities to learn about programs, engage in on-the-spot interviews, and receive same-day offers. Devereux California provides residential, supported living, vocational, and clinical services to adults with developmental disabilities. The roles involve ensuring the safety of individuals and supporting them with self-help skills to encourage independence.
Requirements
- Valid CDL and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass thorough background checks & Livescan
- High School Diploma or GED
- The ability to work a minimum of three shifts per week for PT positions (18/24 hours depending on program)
- One weekend shift per week required
- Must be willing to work with aggressive and/or challenging behaviors (paid training upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, bill pay, and grocery shopping
- Accompanying individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and other activities, as directed
- Assisting with hygiene care
- Other duties, as directed
