About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging After School Instructor to lead our Hip Hop and Gymnastics program for students in grades K-5th. This role involves teaching foundational hip hop dance moves and basic gymnastics skills in a fun and supportive environment. The program runs from September to October, with classes held on Mondays and Fridays from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at our Demarest, NJ site.

Requirements

• Experience in teaching or coaching Hip Hop dance and/or Gymnastics.
• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade age range.
• Ability to create and lead engaging lesson plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Background check may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with STEAM education concepts.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct Hip Hop and Gymnastics classes for K-5th grade students.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for both disciplines.
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.
• Manage classroom behavior and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
• Prepare and maintain necessary class materials and equipment.
