1st Shift - Sanding - Class 2 - Hinging Inspector
About The Position
This role is responsible for inspecting and auditing product processes, including incoming product, internal processes, and finished product audits. The position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, working safely as part of a team, and clear verbal communication. The inspector must possess good problem-solving skills and be willing to work overtime when required. A key function of this role is the ability to bend, stoop, reach, perform moderate to heavy repetitive lifting, and stand for at least nine hours per day. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
- Two to three years of work experience.
- Knowledge and application of safe work practices.
- Ability to read a tape measure & calipers.
- Math & computer skills.
- Possess a thorough understanding of all Cabinetworks Group wood character, machining, assembly and finishing.
- Distinguish among colors and different species.
- Possess basic Microsoft Office and computer capabilities including Excel, Word and LINCs.
- Possess a basic knowledge the QMS to promote awareness and use by coworkers.
- Read a tape measure and caliper.
- Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Self starter who works effectively without close supervision.
Nice To Haves
- One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
