HIM Specialist Heart and Vascular Clinic
About The Position
Valley View is seeking an HIM Specialist with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Heart and Vascular Clinic. This is an on-site, in-person position only, based at the HVC Clinic - Glenwood Springs. The role will involve working with Vyne for both HVC Grand Junction and HVC Glenwood Springs, including saving documents into media manager and transcribing orders and referrals. The HIM Specialist will handle, organize, and protect medical records while carrying out key medical records tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and effective communication abilities. Customer Service experience is preferred.

- Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
- Previous Health Information Experience preferred.
- Customer Service experience preferred!
Responsibilities
- Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
- Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
- Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
- Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by HIM Management/Director of Clinic.
- Performs Routine MPI Management functions.
- Provides Release of Information Services as needed.
