HIM Specialist Heart and Vascular Clinic
About The Position
Valley View is seeking an HIM Specialist with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Heart and Vascular Clinic. This role will involve in-person training and some in-person work, but will be mainly remote. The specialist will work with Vyne for both HVC Grand Junction and HVC Glenwood Springs, including saving documents into media manager and transcribing orders and referrals. The position requires handling, organizing, and protecting medical records while carrying out key medical records tasks. Strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and effective communication abilities are essential. Customer Service experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
- Attention to detail
- Consistency and accuracy in routine job functions
- Previous Health Information Experience preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service experience preferred!
Responsibilities
- Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
- Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
- Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
- Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by HIM Management/Director of Clinic.
- Performs Routine MPI Management functions.
- Provides Release of Information Services as needed.
