About The Position

Valley View is seeking HIM Specialist II's with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Medical Records Department. This is an on-site, in-person position only, based at the Silt Office Building in Silt, CO. The role involves handling, organizing, and protecting medical records while carrying out key medical records tasks. It requires strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and effective communication abilities. Customer Service experience is preferred.

Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
Customer Service experience preferred
Previous Health Information Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by HIM Management.
Performs Routine MPI Management functions.
Provides Departmental coverage for Birth Certificate Registrations.
Provides Release of Information Services as needed.
