This is a full-time position within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle - HIM Ops Document Management department, covering North Carolina/Georgia. The role focuses on accurately uploading and indexing outside records using applicable software, routing documentation to clinicians, and ensuring proper patient, encounter, and order creation within the EHR. The specialist will incorporate clinical documentation from various sources, meeting established benchmarks for quality, accuracy, and productivity. They will apply knowledge of medical terminology to identify documentation needs, analyze medical records for missing information and signatures, and assign deficiencies according to State and Federal regulations and organizational policies. The role also involves supporting and educating clinicians on record completion, collaborating with other departments on data integrity, and notifying leadership of quality or privacy concerns. Ensuring clarity and legibility of scanned documents is crucial, and the specialist will serve as a point of contact for record completion support.
