About The Position

The HIM Data Integrity Technician is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining data integrity in the Master Patient Index and electronic health record (EHR). This includes the correction of duplicate medical record numbers, contact moves, issuing MyChart proxy access requests, overlaying review, and charting correction case review. Interface Error work queues in the EMR and Care Everywhere work queues will also be a responsibility for this position.

Requirements

• High School/GED
• 6 months' experience in Health Information Management (HIM), medical records, or electronic health records.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in Epic handling chart corrections or identity tasks.
• Prior HIPAA knowledge.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
