About The Position
This is an onsite position at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. As our HIM Associate, you will help ensure patient health information is accurately captured, indexed, and maintained through efficient document imaging processes that support timely access, compliance, and continuity of care. Every day you will prepare and scan medical records and other clinical documentation into the electronic medical record, index and quality-check imaged documents for accuracy and completeness and protect the confidentiality of patient information while following established HIM policies and regulatory requirements. To thrive in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage repetitive processes with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of electronic medical records, scanning systems, and document indexing preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy
