About The Position
The Portage County Engineer is accepting applications from persons interested in the full-time position of Highway Worker II. The selected candidate will operate medium to heavy duty dump trucks and a variety of light and medium motorized equipment to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of county roads, bridges, and culverts; performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- One (1) to three (3) years related experience
- Valid State of Ohio Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be available to work overtime during emergencies and as needed
- Must pass a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Operate medium to heavy duty dump trucks and a variety of light and medium motorized equipment to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of county roads, bridges, and culverts
- Performs other duties as required
