This is a permanent, full-time position in Greene County. The selected candidate will be placed in the classification of Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) based on their minimum qualifications. The role involves serving the public by working to make Ohio roads safer. Responsibilities include performing highway maintenance activities such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing. The position also includes performing snow and ice operations. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) oversees building and maintaining the nation’s 5th largest interstate system and the 3rd largest number of bridges, taking pride in providing safe and efficient roadways for the people of Ohio.
