About The Position

Goodhue County is recruiting a Highway Equipment Worker for the Cannon Falls shop in the Public Works department. The position performs highway and roadside maintenance, snow and ice control, and preventive maintenance on county equipment and facilities. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience operating heavy equipment, and/or a Technical College certification in equipment operation.
• A Class A Commercial Driver’s License, or a Class B license with the ability to obtain a Class A within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform snow plowing, ice control, and sanding.
• Maintain bituminous road surfaces.
• Maintain highway rights-of-way.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Maintain gravel roads and perform bituminous highway shouldering.
