Requirements

Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
Strong understanding of civil engineering and IADOT design regulations
Basic understanding of mathematical skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word/Excel)
Basic understanding of civil engineering construction and surveying practices
Working knowledge and experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD

Nice To Haves

Experience in preliminary and final design drafting on IADot projects

Responsibilities

Performing mid to high-level technician work on civil engineering design related to highway transportation project in MicroStation product based platform
Prepare preliminary design sheet and final design sheets
Work with engineers for modeling and design computing of projects
Prepare quantity computations
Assist in design alterations and planning
Accurately draft information in various software programs
