Higher Education Specialist - Part Time - Life Transforming Ministries

HIHR - Higher International Human ResourcesCoatesville, PA
Hybrid

About The Position

At Life Transforming Ministries, we believe every student deserves a community that sees them, challenges them, and sends them out ready to serve. Rooted in Coatesville, PA, we are dedicated to supporting the people, families, and long-term success of our community. We're looking for a Higher Education Specialist who can help us make that a reality. This role is perfect for someone who understands that a student choosing a college is also choosing who they're becoming. You'll guide potential students through what can feel like an overwhelming process, bringing calm, clarity, and genuine care for what is often one of the most important decisions in a person’s life. You'll recruit and develop teams of potential alumni and current students who carry that same spirit of service forward. You'll be organized and detail-oriented — because the administrative side of enrollment matters too — but the focus is always the person on the other side of the paperwork. If you're energized by purpose-driven work, thrive on building real relationships, and want your day-to day efforts to connect directly to a larger mission, we'd love to meet you.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a relevant field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Prior experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with diverse individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions, financial aid, and enrollment best practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, database management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and recruitment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and student success.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from prospective students, offering accurate information about programs, admission requirements, and financial aid options.
  • Guide prospective students through the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition to college throughout the first year.
  • Conduct personalized interviews and meetings with students and families to understand their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments and academic advisors to address specific student concerns.
  • Review and assist students with applications, transcripts, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain organized student records, ensuring all required documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Help students complete application forms, financial aid applications, and other paperwork.
  • Track application status and communicate updates to applicants and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning and executing on/off-site events, such as open houses, information sessions, and attendance at community events.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop recruitment initiatives, marketing campaigns, and retention strategies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and influencers.
  • Represent LTM and it's educational partners at college fairs, community events, and recruitment activities as needed.
  • Stay updated on enrollment and recruitment best practices.
  • Build, develop, and lead volunteer teams of alumni and work-study students from the ground up to support recruiting events, alumni gatherings, and the annual graduation celebration.
  • Compile data and generate reports on enrollment statistics, applicant demographics, and conversion rates.
  • Analyze trends to identify areas for enrollment process improvement.
  • Propose innovative solutions and implement changes as needed.
