About The Position

Provide onsite and remote technical direction to site personnel and customers. Prepare job planning documents that define the work scope being performed through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions. Provide leadership to skilled labor performing work on customer sites. Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment such as power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, and motors. Troubleshoot electrical problems in the substations on wind and solar plants. Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job completion reports to customers. Exercise good judgment in controlling costs. Maintain strong safety mindset at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be able to read schematics.
  • Ability to write and interpret switching orders.
  • Safety must be top priority.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Flexibility required.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SmartSheets
  • Basic workplace first aid

Nice To Haves

  • Previous High Voltage experience
  • Familiar with test equipment and testing procedures for transformers, relays, breakers, and underground splices.
  • Familiar with switching pad mount transformers and substations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in leading field service team.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
