About The Position

EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has immediate openings for full-time High Voltage Electrical Estimators. Positions are available in the corporate office in Billings, MT as well as several nationwide branches. Estimators having experience in the technology, supply chain, commercial transactions, installation labor resources and bidding practices for electrical power delivery projects. Typical project voltages range from 34.5 kV through 500 kV, and include battery energy storage facilities, substations, switchyards, HV transmission lines, as well as minor components of distribution and industrial power systems. Experience and knowledge in both office estimating and field construction for power delivery facilities is a basic qualification for this position. Knowledge of current market conditions inclusive of large power apparatus, IBEW and non-union labor practices, means and methods, approach to construction, development of construction schedules, construction management and a basic working knowledge of the engineering services required for preparation of bids for EPC project execution are desirable attributes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Experience in office estimating and field construction for power delivery facilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
  • Subject to client-mandated drug and background checking.
  • Subject to EPC Services' auto insurance carrier requirements due to occasional travel/driving.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the technology, supply chain, commercial transactions, installation labor resources and bidding practices for electrical power delivery projects.
  • Experience with Vista (Viewpoint) software.
  • Understanding of large power apparatus, IBEW and non-union labor practices, construction schedules and management.
