About The Position

Join CHA Consulting, Inc. as a High Voltage Electrical Engineer on our Generation & Energy Management Team. This role supports critical energy systems in high-impact environments, focusing on high-voltage electrical systems for advanced industrial and energy facilities. You will contribute to meaningful projects in power generation, manufacturing, and mission-critical infrastructure, expanding your technical expertise and delivering resilient electrical solutions. The position is based in Reading, PA; Hartford, CT; or St. Catharines, Ontario.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for mechanical energy, power generation, and facility energy system projects
  • Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices to support system reliability, safety, and performance
  • Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve technical or operational issues that could impact mission-critical systems
  • Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignments and system assessments
