About The Position

The client is in the electronics manufacturing industry and has an opportunity for a High Vacuum Technician. This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of high and ultra-high vacuum systems. This is a direct hire role that must be performed on-site.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in high or ultra-high vacuum systems.
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum theory, pressure measurement, and system design.
  • Knowledge of stainless steel piping, fittings, valves, and clean room procedures.
  • Precise welding experience.
  • Ability to install, assemble, and maintain high and ultra-high vacuum systems and components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot vacuum leaks and perform leak detection using helium mass spectrometers.
  • Operate and maintain pumps (mechanical, turbomolecular, cryogenic, diffusion, and ion pumps).
  • Calibrate and repair vacuum gauges and controllers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with thin film deposition, semiconductor, or scientific instrumentation environments is a plus.
