About The Position

The High Vacuum Maintenance and Service Leader will facilitate and enable all maintenance for Delta High Vacuum Chambers. The goal is to have up time and productive use of chambers at industry benchmarking levels. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all maintenance activities in the high vacuum area at Delta finishing facilities. They will work with the entire Delta Finishing Excellence team to meet business objectives and metrics for Delta. The position will also focus on improved safety and sustainable environmental impacts, cost and scrap reduction and improved quality. The successful candidate will drive all aspects of high vacuum maintenance. This position will offer the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with suppliers and industry experts to advance our understanding and progress in high vacuum processes. This role will play a key part in realizing the implementation of multiple finishing process improvements. This position will collaborate and work closely with plant and corporate personnel. Responsibilities will involve projects at Delta Greensburg but could involve collaboration and investigation at other manufacturing sites and some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of high vacuum system operation and maintenance requirements, capable of quick assimilation of technical information, attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to coach, teach and hold associates accountable for technical high vacuum maintenance standards.
  • 5 years operational and maintenance experience in operations of high vacuum systems.
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge in High Vacuum Related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement end-to-end maintenance program for all Delta high vacuum systems while delivering safety improvements, reduced environmental impacts, cost savings, quality improvements and scrap reduction.
  • Ownership and delivery of plant metrics and performance plans including machine up time, cost of operation and safety.
  • Work with finishing leadership to recommend schedules and maintenance processes to enhance performance and reduce costs. Develop predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all aspects of maintaining high vacuum systems including controls, electrical and mechanical subsystems.
  • Routinely identifying and interacting with vendors of high vacuum equipment or contract services required for operations.
  • Maintaining a systematic inventory level with controls to prevent down time and minimize cost of inventory.
  • Supervise all maintenance activities and administrate a comprehensive training and development program for maintenance associates.
  • Develop long-term maintenance and sustainment plans to ensure chambers remain serviceable and production ready as technology changes.
  • Keeping detailed documentation and notes on maintenance and inventory.
  • Understand compliance and permitting requirements and how equipment changes may impact compliance at the plant and product level.
  • Interacting with production employees and plant leadership to facilitate maintenance and training in high vacuum systems.
  • Packaging. labeling and shipping of materials to and from outside vendors to facilitate maintenance activities with timely results.
  • Summarizing and communicating information to Finishing Center of excellence team.
