About The Position
AdvisaCare is seeking a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant to provide private-duty in-home care to clients in the Albion, Michigan area. The role focuses on providing individualized care that honors each patient’s preferences, choices, abilities, and specific needs. Shifts are listed as 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; PRN, part-time, and full-time arrangements are available.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and clear a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care services in patients’ residences.
- Perform domestic and household tasks.
- Transport and accompany patients to doctors’ offices or hospitals.
- Administer simple prescribed medications.
- Assist clients with personal care activities.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other conditions, and report on their condition.
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies or exercises.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise.
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
