About The Position

Provide assistance with daily living and personal care services to patients in their homes in the Ithaca, Michigan area, following an established care plan. The role supports people injured after 2019 and helps clients live with dignity, independence, and purpose in the comfort of their homes. The listed schedule is 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., part time.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work responsibly both as part of a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to pass a drug screen (THC) and clear a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients’ residences.
• Perform domestic and household tasks.
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors’ offices or hospitals.
• Administer simple prescribed medications.
• Assist clients with personal care activities.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other conditions, and report observations.
• Maintain patients’ care records and document services provided.
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies or exercises.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise.
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.
