About The Position

Seeking a Varsity Head coach for the Baseball program for the 2026-2027 school year at Liberty Common High School in Fort Collins, Colorado – a Poudre School District charter school. LCHS is Northern Colorado's clearest path to college delivering a college-preparatory, classically-oriented, liberal-arts curriculum in a small-school environment. The school currently enrolls approximately 1600 students in grades K-12, and competes at the 3A level in CHSAA as a member of the Patriot League. The Baseball Head coach reports directly to the athletic director and has the primary responsibility for planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff. Applicants should be dedicated to providing the best scholar-athlete experience. The successful candidate will be committed to the mission and goals of Liberty Common High School and follow all CHSAA procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; associates degree or greater is preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred.
  • Technically knowledgeable of baseball and experience working with student-athletes.
  • Experience scheduling, planning, and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents.
  • A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and character development.
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and administration.
  • Full background check required for hire.
  • CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff.
  • Working with student-athletes to develop skills, knowledge, and virtues in baseball.
  • Communicating with parents, officials, athletes, and coaches.
  • Working with coaching staff to implement training and game plans.
