About The Position

This position is for a High School Technology Support Clerk working 8 hours per day on a 10-month calendar, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role involves providing technology support within the Library & Learning Commons, assisting students and teachers with various devices and educational applications. The effective date of employment is the beginning of the 2026-27 school year, with an application deadline of April 29, 2026.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Spreadsheets and Schoology preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of current operating systems such as Windows and iPad IOS preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in troubleshooting mobile devices such as Chromebooks, iPads, printers, and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Demonstrated a basic understanding of classroom technology including projectors, sounds systems, Apple TV, SMART Boards, etc.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in student/teacher centered service.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to students in the Library & Learning Commons, including individual students, study groups and large group activities.
  • Offer iPad, computer and media support in the Library & Learning Commons.
  • Phone/helpline support.
  • Triage and assist with iPad and Chromebook issues, especially ones related to accessing Schoology, Google Drive, Notability, eBooks, and other educational apps.
  • Triage and resolve computer operating issues including, but not limited to: logins/passwords, printing, accessing documents, email access, laptop projection and use of common software/programs (i.e. Schoology, Infinite Campus, GoogleDocs, Microsoft products, Destiny Discover,etc.).
  • Support inventory, repairs, and check-out of books, iPads and related technology equipment.
  • Support the operation of software/apps including Schoology, Destiny, and other student/teacher resources.
  • Monitor iPad & book inventory related to new and withdrawn students as well as device recovery, etc.
  • Facilitate communication between students/families regarding recovery and collection.
  • Prepare reports on building printing usage, tech support tickets, and student mobile device recovery.
  • Engage with students and teachers to encourage the effective use of library and technology resources.
  • Attend all scheduled district and building technology support meetings.
  • Take on other responsibilities as assigned that align with the role's goals and the school's mission. Examples may include assisting with special projects, working with monitoring student- clubs in the space,or contributing to Library & Learning Commons events.
