About The Position

The HSE/HSD Instructor teaches in a regular classroom setting, providing instruction in designated subject areas. The instructor fosters a positive classroom atmosphere to support student motivation, maintains classroom discipline to promote learning, and builds rapport with students. The role also involves using available curriculum resources, maintaining student personnel folders, and recording and forwarding daily attendance to Student Records.

The position is with Kittrell Job Corps, part of Eckerd Connects. Job Corps is a nationwide residential career training program that helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, train for careers, and obtain employment.

Requirements

• Be certified to teach in the state of North Carolina.
• Pass a drug screen in compliance with the Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Successfully complete a nationwide criminal background check; employment is contingent upon completion.

Nice To Haves

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is preferred.
