About The Position

The Lansing School District is seeking a High School Spanish Teacher to provide world-class Spanish language instruction to students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will foster safe, nurturing, and collaborative classrooms, working with colleagues, parents, and students to ensure an excellent educational experience. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish education or related field (Spanish, Spanish literature, etc.)
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

Nice To Haves

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with Spanish language endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
• Previous successful teaching experience in urban setting

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of high school Spanish
• Provide world-class instruction in various Spanish content areas
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
