About The Position
The Lansing School District is hiring a High School Spanish Teacher to ensure 9th-12th grade students receive world-class Spanish language instruction. The teacher will be responsible for building safe, nurturing classrooms where students can collaborate towards common learning goals. This role involves working alongside other teachers, parents, and students to provide the best educational experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish education or related field (Spanish, Spanish literature, etc.)
- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
Nice To Haves
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with Spanish language endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
- Previous successful teaching experience in urban setting
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate passion for and expertise of high school Spanish
- Provide world-class instruction in various Spanish content areas
- Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
- Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
- Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
- Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
