About The Position

The Academy of Mount St. Ursula, an all-girls Catholic high school conducted in the Ursuline tradition and located in the Bronx, is seeking a mission-driven, educator to join our World Languages Department as a High School Spanish Teacher. We are a diverse school community and welcome applicants of all faiths. The Academy of Mount St. Ursula empowers young women to be leaders in service and society.

Requirements

• Committed to Catholic education.
• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field required.
• High school Spanish teaching experience and strong classroom management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students of varying language proficiency levels.

Nice To Haves

• master's degree and New York State certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive, faith-centered learning environment.
• Teach Spanish courses to students in grades 9–12.
• Develop engaging lessons that build students' proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish while integrating Hispanic cultures to foster global awareness and cultural appreciation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and uphold Catholic doctrine and values in daily teaching.
