About The Position
Teacher Tutors is seeking passionate and experienced High School Science Tutors for part-time positions to assist students with AP and college-prep science subjects. As a tutor, you will provide personalized one-on-one instruction to high school students, helping them master challenging concepts in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science. This position offers flexibility to work with students in-person or online, and is perfect for educators who have classroom experience in advanced science courses. As a High School Science Tutor, your role will be to support students' academic growth by enhancing their understanding of the curriculum, preparing them for exams, and fostering their confidence in scientific skills and knowledge. You will work closely with students and families to tailor tutoring sessions to their specific learning needs.
Requirements
- Proven classroom teaching experience with AP or college-prep level science courses.
- Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and AP exam formats.
- Ability to diagnose student needs and customize lessons accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage high school students effectively.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions.
- Proficiency with online tutoring platforms.
