About The Position
The Craig County School Board in Virginia is seeking to secure a highly qualified applicant for Craig County High School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 12-month position. The ideal candidate will have successful experience planning and implementing instructional initiatives, experience with state and federal requirements including Virginia Standards of Learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of school accreditation. A collaborative leadership style, dependability, and punctuality are also important.
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Administration or Curriculum and Instruction
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision – PreK-12
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in implementing educational programs
- Dependability and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Teaching and administrative experience preferred
- Three years full time teaching experience and an assistant principal and/or principal experience preferred
- Experience at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the use of technology in curriculum, instruction, and administration
Responsibilities
