The Banner Health Internship Program provides valuable insight and professional level work experience in the healthcare industry. These positions are paid, non-benefitted and temporary. They are 20 hours/week, part-time for 10 weeks. The exact hours will vary by department. Compensation is a flat, non-negotiable rate of $17.00/hour. New Employee Orientation will take place on August 3rd, 2026. Opportunities may include: Outpatient Rehab - M-F between 8am-4pm Supply Chain - M-F between 8am-4pm Culinary - M-F between 4pm-8pm with option to work weekends IT ( Remote ) - flexible hours but must stick to a schedule All shifts must be a minimum of 3-4 hours per shift. POSITION SUMMARY This position typically will be up to one year in length and will work under the direct supervision of a department manager or designee. The position is responsible for expanding experiences and knowledge of practices and procedures as they relate to assigned department and area of study. These activities may include participation in a wide variety of projects. Banner Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. This range is based on possible base salaries and does not include the value of our total rewards package. Actual pay determined at offer will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location, along with a review of current employees in similar roles to ensure pay equity is achieved and maintained.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in high school in their senior/final year.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have general knowledge related to the department/unit/area of study.

Nice To Haves

  • Plan to attend college in state (preferred)
  • Proficiency with commonly used software and personal computers may be necessary, depending upon assignment.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Expands and develops knowledge with exposure to a variety of roles related to area of study.
  • Participates on work teams, contributes to projects and initiatives, and performs various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department.
  • Performs research and prepares reports on assigned topics and /or projects when required.
  • Works as a member of a team providing service to internal and external customers.
