About The Position

Join Great Hearts Academies, a growing network of 49 public, open-enrollment, tuition-free classical schools. Great Hearts currently provides over 30,000 K-12 students with access to a high quality, classical liberal arts education. We believe the highest goal of education is to become good, intellectually and morally. The Humane Letters courses are central to the academies' classical liberal arts curricula, featuring two-hour seminar style courses focusing on great works of literature, history, and philosophy from the Western Tradition, with a strong and deliberate focus on primary sources and a Socratic approach. Latin is not an elective but part of the core curriculum, providing an essential foundation for the academies’ focus on the Western tradition. Rigorous and detailed Latin lessons will develop students that can translate texts from the original Latin to English through Socratic discussion.
