About The Position

Tutor Partners is seeking an experienced, qualified high school English Language Arts (ELA) tutor to provide in-person tutoring services in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) at Road to Success Academy at Campus Kilpatrick SDF, one of its Juvenile Court Schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct academic impact with students in a specialized educational setting.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or minimum of 24 college credits required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with students in grades 6-12; experience in juvenile justice or alternative education settings a plus
• Strong content knowledge in high school ELA, including reading comprehension, writing, and grammar
• Experience supporting English Learners (EL) is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to pass required background clearances (e.g., LiveScan/fingerprinting) as required by LACOE
• Reliable transportation to assigned site

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in ELA support aligned to student needs during the school day, including reading, writing, and English language development
• Track and report student progress
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, administration of assessments, and coordination meetings
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment
