About The Position

Belmont Charter Network is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Business/Entrepreneur Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Our mission is to provide each student with a high-quality education supported by services that meet the needs of the whole child. We are a family of 5 community schools committed to the academic, social, and emotional well-being of each child, supported by a non-profit partner offering holistic services. Requirements

B.A./B.S. degree from accredited institution
1-2 years of classroom experience, preferably in urban education
Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate
Demonstrated preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
Participate in appropriate professional activities.
Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.
Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a variety of individualized needs

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Execute school wide duties in accordance with school rules and procedures such as lunch, recess, hallway, or other duties in the school as assigned.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
