KIPP Columbus is seeking a dedicated Behavior Assistant to support students in following behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education program (IEP) goals. This role involves providing one-on-one or small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviors, utilizing reinforcement strategies, de-escalation techniques, and positive behavior supports. The Behavior Assistant will implement strategies developed by behavior specialists, monitor and collect data on student behavior, and assist teachers in managing classroom behavior to promote a positive learning environment. This position requires collaboration with various school staff, communication with parents, and participation in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices in supporting students with behavioral needs.
