About The Position

The High School Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to provide students with exposure to the agricultural industry while supporting daily operations of the cooperative. This role offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience in various areas of the business, including agronomy, grain operations, customer service, facility maintenance, and general agricultural support activities. The apprentice will work alongside experienced team members to develop practical skills, industry knowledge, and an understanding of cooperative operations.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
Interest in agriculture, agribusiness, or related fields.
Ability to learn new tasks and follow instructions.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable and punctual.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and agricultural environments.

Nice To Haves

Background in farming, FFA, 4-H, agricultural education, or related activities is beneficial but not required.
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with a variety of daily operational activities across the cooperative.
Support agronomy, grain, and administrative teams as needed.
Perform general housekeeping and maintenance tasks to promote a safe and organized work environment.
Help prepare facilities, equipment, and work areas for daily operations.
Assist with inventory organization and material handling.
Observe and learn standard operating procedures related to agricultural services.
Interact professionally with customers, growers, and fellow employees.
Complete assigned projects and other duties as directed by supervisors.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
