About The Position

Imagine starting your shift in Romeoville by syncing your RF scanner, checking your stand-up lift, and coordinating with the Logistics Supervisor on the day's priorities. You'll navigate narrow aisles, stage inbound pallets, and move product with precision—sometimes with a clamp or push-pull attachment—so customer orders are picked, verified, and loaded on time. As an Operator 3, Forklift in our Logistics team, your focus is safety, accuracy, and flow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math.
• Clear verbal and written communication; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and collaborative.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.
• OSHA forklift certification required, with recertification every 3 years.
• Sound judgment and logical decision-making.
• Alert supervision and/or Quality Assurance to any food safety or quality concerns.
• Immediately report risks or evidence of unsafe or out-of-spec product, equipment, packaging, or raw materials to a designated manager.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload inbound freight and store it in the correct locations; stack efficiently to maximize space.
• Pull exact items and quantities; meet customer standards for speed and accuracy; verify loads before they leave.
• Move freight from staging or storage into trailers or rail cars with care and efficiency.
• Run stand-up forklifts and attachments (clamp, push-pull) plus RF devices; follow prescribed work methods at all times.
• Keep records, perform cycle counts, support physical inventories, and rotate stock properly.
• Help with basic maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment as needed.
• Uphold the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
• Take on order filler or order checker tasks as needed and other duties as assigned or volunteered.
