About The Position

The High Reach Forklift Driver uses a stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves storing and retrieving palletized goods in racks, preparing products for outbound shipment, handling and recording food items using a radio frequency system, and maintaining forklift equipment and batteries. The schedule is 4:00 AM–2:30 PM, with either a Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday workweek. The listed pay is $21.00–$22.50 depending on experience; a separate pay range of $19.18–$32.40 is also provided.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Put away palletized units by lifting forks to place them into racks above floor height.
Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height and prepare them for outbound shipment.
Select and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items using a radio frequency (RF) system.
Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.
Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
