About The Position

The High Reach Forklift Driver uses a stand-up reach forklift and other material-handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role handles palletized food items in storage and prepares products for outbound shipment, including work in cold or dry storage environments.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold-storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry-storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lb/18 kg; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Comfort working with various noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks to place them in racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units from rack locations above floor height and prepare them for outbound shipment.
• Select and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items using a Radio Frequency (RF) system.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
• Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
• Follow regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
